This summer development program introduces families to the standards, structure, and environment that define MAP Hockey. Every session includes:
Built and coached by the same people who run MAP Hockey. The training is real, the coaching is professional, but the program is built for players who competed at the Peewee levels during the 2026-27 season.
For your athlete, this is more than just a hockey camp; it’s an opportunity for real development. For you, it’s a first look at what MAP Hockey is.
MAP Futures is an entry point to becoming a MAP Hockey member.
For more than 20 years, MAP hockey has developed players at every level of the game. Arguably the most respected hockey development program in the country, MAP Hockey alumni include:
Olympians
NHL Draft Picks
Professional Players
National Team Players
NCAA Commitments
Junior A Players
Futures athletes train in the same facilities, with the same coaches, under the same structure, philosophy, and standards that built our MAP Hockey track record. When the time comes for full membership, your athlete is already familiar with the coaches, the environment, and how MAP Hockey operates.
In 2025, 92% of MAP Futures athletes were selected to participate as full MAP Hockey members the following year.

Each Futures training day includes:
Focuses on skating, skills, and game-relevant competition
1 hour of on-ice training divided into three 20-minute segments
High-repetition drills to build confidence and consistency
1 hour of off-ice speed and strength training age appropriate athletic development, specifically for hockey players
30 to 45 minutes of off-ice shooting and stickhandling building confidence through repetition
On-Ice Session Structure
All MAP Hockey coaches complete a structured onboarding process covering our development methodology, communication standards, and video evaluation process. Every coach who works with your athlete is MAP certified.
Like a camp, MAP Futures has set drop-off and pick-up times. But MAP Futures is not a typical summer hockey camp. Here is the difference:

| Coach ratio | 3 coaches at each on-ice session, with a max 8:1 player-to-coach ratio | Larger groups |

| Development tracking | Performance testing and individual video feedback | Rarely included |
| Structure | Proven progressive development model | Drills & scrimmages |
| Schedule | Flexible drop-off and pick up format, most athletes train 3x/week and can choose the days | Often fixed daily or weekly |
| What comes next | A clear path to MAP Hockey membership | Ends when the summer ends |
