Paul DePuydt brings over 15 years of coaching and hockey leadership experience to the MAP Advising team. His career spans NCAA, AAA, and junior levels, where he has guided and developed players on their paths to the next stage of their careers.
Paul began his coaching career at St. Olaf College (NCAA DIII) as an Assistant Coach before moving into high-level youth and junior hockey. He went on to serve as Head Coach and General Manager in the WSHL, leading both the Boulder and Superior RoughRiders organizations.
Since 2018, Paul has been a cornerstone of the Rocky Mountain RoughRiders AAA program, where he served as Director of Player Personnel and later as Hockey Director. In these roles, he oversaw recruiting for all age groups, managed program operations, and coached across multiple levels from 13U through 18U. Most recently, he led the 15U T1EHL/THF team, preparing players for advancement into junior and collegiate hockey.
In addition to his coaching and leadership roles, Paul has also worked in junior hockey scouting, serving as a USHL scout for Cedar Rapids from 2018–2025.
Now relocated from Colorado to Minnesota, Paul has joined MAP Hockey Advisors as an Advisor. With a proven track record in player development, advancement, and program leadership, he brings a wealth of experience and insight to MAP. Paul’s passion for mentorship and his deep understanding of the development process make him a valuable resource for players and families navigating today’s competitive hockey landscape
